$1,000-Plus an Hour Club

The February 23, 2011 edition of the WSJ has an article about leading attorneys making more than $1,000 an hour. Is ANYONE worth such an hourly rate? I think NOT but some businesses are willing to pay for the best proven talent.

The article mentions that these very high hourly rates “are contributing to inflation across the $100 billion-a-year global corporate-law industry as the slow recovery has left many law firms struggling to finance the hefty pay packages they award their stars.”

Really? Maybe the solution is to slice the absurdly high hourly rate!
