Fitness & Money

One of my New Year’s Resolutions was to run a 10k.  Registered for Zooma Annapolis online – $45.00 + $4.00 fee.  Plan to register for a 5K on May 14th, the cost $20.   And plan to register for the Baltimore marathon before April 1st – $85.00 (yikes).

Who said running is inexpensive?  Getting good, supportive shoes & socks and registering for multiple races add up pretty quickly.  My plan is to “compete” in a race each month from May to October. Didn’t expect to have to fork over so much money.  Haven’t quite found a race in August (yeah, who wants to run during the “dog days” of August). I know, by the end of my proposed running season, I will have spent between $200 – $250 registering for races.

Meanwhile I hope to bike a century (or maybe a metric century).   Hmmm, how much will that cost?
